Message: Hi every body in christ, i thank God that he anabled me to visit this web and i came across the audio teaching of paster Laurence about the teaching of jesus saiying that who ever accept him is set free from the BK of Rom 10,9. that its a free gift. I just wanted to give a testimony of prayer and believing that I trust will bless and encourage others, God is faithful.
Recently Laurence, Danny and I flew to the USA to take part in an seminar regarding the book of Acts, in Oracle Arizona. The class was revealing and inspiring.
On the way home, on the plane, I got my camera out and was browsing through the pictures that I had taken, and God just laid it on my heart to go one step further and to start thinking about starting up a buisness, lamnating the pictures that show his handywork of landscape and creation, all giving in their silent voice, glory to Him!
I also had been asking God "what can I do for work that would keep me inside during the wet months in the uk"..(which is quite a big part of our year!!!) and God just popped a picture of a water pot in my mind.
I thought of the woman at the well, and the delight in her heart at finding the christ, and the orientalism and significance of the pot. in that its relevance to us as earthen vessels, holding within us the great gift of holy spirit.
Earthen vessels just kept popping into my mind over and over and I asked God what is it you are showing me?
Pottery!! to reproduce pottery of biblical significance that have a teaching of their own, giving glory to God and opening an opportunity to speak Gods word and reach people. God formed man from the dust of the ground! (Gen 2:7)
So I asked God in prayer to help me with where to go, and how to do it. I needed someone to teach me and to take me on in an apprenticeship, which is something that just doesnt happen anymore! the way is through college and university which would take at least 4-5 years but with God all things are possible!!
I have taken a part time course to open the door and just asked God "what next?" and after explaining to my tutor what my goals were, she suggested that i visit a local pottery shop and ask around.
I visited the shop and spoke to the woman and told her I was a believer, and she told me that she was also a believer and gave me a phone number.
I called the number, and was invited to visit the pottery, when i arrived the man who owned the pottery told me that not only would he let me come and help out in the workshop, he would teach me all i needed to know and put me in touch with all his contacts! he would teach me for free and he would also let me work on my own projects and not charge me for the clay or materials. which can be expensive! he has an MA and a RCA in the arts and is highly respected with over 15 years of experience, and a large workshop and all the equipment needed to do the kind of work I need to do to produce the type of pottery needed, which is not the type of pottery normally sold in the common market! Ephesians 3:20 comes to mind! God is faithful
